"The Atlas show an emotional geography and a political one"
The maps should talks more about the people and their lives because they play an important role in how we identify ourselves and, most of all, because the identity of a country should be gives by a moltitude of notions, not just by political boundaries
The concept of maps has to be "inclusive" and not "exclusive"

"What make that we share in the city in public space?"
making public space in urban landscape
throught art and design but also cooperation and collaboration between people
"Public space could be art any time, we have to just make it"
The Atlas is a tool to stimulate visual dialogue in order to create a catalogue of opportunity in which art and design are use this medium that can allow to have collective discussions.
"Is that allowed?"

the longer the collavorative work space exist the less the question is asked.

a strip that for about a kilometer runs through one of the most multi-ethnic neighborhoods of the city, transforming a park and a square into an unparalleled urban patchwork

Superkilen is conceived as a sort of surrealist collection of objects from all over the world that represent in a different way the multiplicity of the inhabitants of the area, directly involved in the choice of new furnishings: palm trees from China, sports equipment directly from the Los Angeles beach , neon signs from Qatar and Russia, each souvenir is accompanied by small steel plaques that describe the object and the origin, obviously in Danish and in the language of origin.

Pedestrian and bicycle paths, connections to the local transport network, an area for the market and outdoor recreational spaces are the serious ingredients with which the project has been able to play through the lively use of color and the basic idea of reflecting the new multicultural image of the area rather than - as the BIG designers themselves underline - “ remain nostalgically attached to a petrified idea of Denmark as a homogeneous country”.
